Our choir numbers between 20 and 30 singers. At present we are a volunteer choir with professional leadership singing on a regular basis at the 11:00 a. m. services every Sunday (except in the summer) and for all the major festivals. A recent annual report stated, "We have been working hard doing all the things most choirs do - sing the music we know better, learn new music, produce a good, balanced blend, improve our diction and, above all, make the most beautiful sound possible".
We meet for rehearsals twice a week, on Thursday evenings for two hours and on Sunday mornings for three quarters of an hour preceding the 11:00 a. m. service. We also give concerts and have recently performed many major works including the Requiems by Gabriel Faure, Maurice Durufle and John Rutter, Carols and Lullabies by Conrad Susa, A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten and the Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Vaughan Williams.
The choir is open to all who would like to sing within a discipline of hard work, cooperation regular attendance. Please contact the Director of Music, Ronald Arnatt, if you would like to join
