Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals

Baptisms

Baptism initiates us through water and the Holy Spirit into the church, Christ’s body.

Celebrated in community as part of the Holy Eucharist, baptism can be for babies, children, or adults. Preparation includes meetings with the clergy. If you’re interested in baptism for yourself or your child, contact the clergy.

Weddings

In the Episcopal Church, marriage is a sacrament between two people.

The priest officiates the vows people make to each other and to God. Meetings with the priest before the ceremony are mandatory. If you’re interested in being married at St. John’s, contact the clergy at least 6 months ahead of time.

Funerals

The rite of burial celebrates the resurrection of Christ and our hope in our own resurrection.

One doesn’t have to be a member of St. John’s to have a funeral here. Contact the clergy.
